Meet the artist
Holi!
I’m Sabina, the founder and artist behind SabinaOnCanvas. I’m 24 years old and have studied Architecture and Design, but illustration has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been fascinated by observing the world around me and translating moments, places and emotions into artwork.
My journey so far
I was born and raised in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, and throughout my life I’ve been fortunate and truly blessed to call several cities home, including Turin, Barcelona, Valencia and Rotterdam. I’m now permanently based in Amsterdam, although I always love returning to my island home whenever I can.
Turning passion into purpose
I started SabinaOnCanvas as a personal project driven by my passion for illustration. What started as a passion project has grown into a space where I can share my vision of the world through art.
I’m passionate about travelling, cycling, dancing and romanticising the little things that make each day special, and these inspirations often find their way into my work.
A love for many forms of illustration
One of the things I love most about illustration is its versatility. From urban sketches and landscapes to personal moments, travel memories and portraits.
For me, each piece is an opportunity to capture a feeling, a place or a memory that deserves to be remembered.
The art of noticing
I believe some of life’s greatest gifts are found in the simplest moments. Through my work, I hope to celebrate and preserve those moments that often pass by unnoticed.
In a small way, Sabina on Canvas is my way of appreciating the beauty of God’s creation and sharing that sense of wonder and gratitude with others.
