A COLLECTION OF ARTWORKS INSPIRED BY PEOPLE, PLACES AND MEMORIES
Some are memories and some are wishes, but all of them are pieces I create with gratitude and the intention of giving them a place to live a little longer.
THE PICNIC TABLE
A table set for five, waiting in the middle of a field. A little scene I imagine on a summer windy day, when there is nowhere else to be and nothing else to do but stay a little longer.
cal aceite
Drawn live during a trip to Calaceite, Spain. A quiet afternoon, the church glowing in the golden light and a friend sketching while sitting on the pavement.
Bakery treats
Inspired by those little trips to the bakery for a loaf of sourdough, when the smell of freshly baked bread makes the whole morning feel a little sweeter.
miel
Inspired by the cows I used to see on my way from Amsterdam to Diemen on summer days. They always brought a little joy to an otherwise ordinary journey. Perhaps one day, Miel will be waiting for me somewhere.
Two seats under the sun please
Drawn on a summer day in a little restaurant in Torralba de Ribota. Two chairs, a quiet wall and the sunlight falling exactly where it should. Nothing extraordinary, and yet somehow worth noticing.
A gift for rose
Created for my friend Rose before she left Amsterdam, as a little piece of the NL to take with her. Delft pottery, tulips and tomatoes, made to remind her of the time she called this place home.
